The owner of this beautifully converted farmhouse sought the expertise of Kerith Flynn and her team at Margali and Flynn Designs to bring their vision to life.
With an expansive open floor plan, this home offered a unique opportunity to create a multi-functional great room. By dividing this large space into three visually distinct areas, we transformed it into an inviting, livable environment. We cleverly tucked the bar under the stairs, turning what would have been an empty area into a stylish and practical entertainment nook.
This open-concept design allows the family to enjoy various activities in one cohesive space. Whether playing games with their children, relaxing in the living room, or entertaining guests, the design offers flexibility. The space includes a cozy area for watching TV, a pool table for fun, a cocktail bar for socializing, and a country-style dining table for casual meals or light snacks.
To enhance the ambiance, we added a custom central pendant light to complement the exposed beams, along with wall sconces for mood lighting. The metal cocktail table, eye-catching metal art, and ladder shelving with curated accessories tie together the industrial barn aesthetic, creating a seamless flow throughout the home.
Dining Room Design for Effortless Entertaining
For effortless entertaining, we designed a stunning dining room featuring a custom-colored table and stoneware place settings. A Lazy Susan was strategically added to the center of the large round dining table, providing both a functional and stylish solution for serving meals and displaying decorative accessories.
The dining room's centerpiece, along with distinctive wall sconces and sliding barn doors, perfectly complements the industrial farm-chic theme that runs throughout the entire home. This cohesive design creates a space that’s both visually appealing and perfect for hosting friends and family.
